Attractiveness: Aveyron takes action and moves on all terrains

The Departmental Agency for Attractiveness and Tourism is stepping up its actions on the ground throughout this autumn to convince as many people as possible to come and live in Aveyron. Strong mobilization and supporting arguments are there.

“To make Aveyron shine, beyond its borders, is the challenge of the Departmental Agency for Attractiveness and Tourism, Adat, which is at the heart of our concerns”: and the president of the Department, Arnaud Viala, to salute the commitment and the mobilization of the teams of this structure created last spring, already able to develop a whole program of actions in this direction.
“Our approach is to add a dimension of modernity and innovation to the image of our department, which is both authentic, preserved, endowed with great human, heritage and cultural wealth…” justifies President Viala.

A “collective project” in favor of attractiveness

The tone is set, “enhance the Aveyron as much as possible”by combining tourism and attractiveness has become the roadmap of the Adat whose essential mission is to introduce the territory to those who want to visit it… And above all to settle there by accompanying them in their “project of life “. Around employment (mobilization to find labor is at the heart of expectations) and housing in particular. This is a demographic challenge to be met.

To give substance to these ambitions, Jean-Luc Calmelly, president of Adat, vice-president of the departmental council and mayor of Bozouls, and its director Catherine Sciberras criss-crossed the Aveyron. “To meet all those who can be actors of attractiveness in all areasexplains Jean-Luc Calmelly. We want to promote the idea that these actions in favor of attractiveness constitute a collective project and make Aveyronnais the ambassadors of their department. .

Communication in trade fairs

In support of field work, the communication campaign is relaunched this fall “with the aim of promoting the consumption of seasonal wings”and this, on all media, from billboards to traditional media in the heart of the metropolises of the south of France, via social networks and “influencers”, guided by Audrey Carles. “This campaign is bearing fruit, this summer we had a strong presence of tourists from neighboring departments and regions”confirms Jean-Luc Calmelly.
In addition to know-how, there is know-how through a presence in numerous events throughout France, where Aveyron can imprint its visibility. Thus the “Made in France” show from November 10 to 13 in Paris with a stand of the Departmental Agency for Attractiveness and Tourism, alongside 800 exhibitors, including some of the 547 companies whose productions are stamped ” Made in Aveyron”.

This “label” and those who are integrated into it, through their productions, will also be at the heart of the Onet show this weekend from 23 to 25 September. And because Made in Aveyron “contributes to attractiveness, through the quality of our companies’ know-how”, time will be devoted to new arrivals in Aveyron to invite them to discover but also to testify to their motivations for settling in the department. The Adat now plans to transport such a show to Montpellier or Toulouse in the next editions, to capture attention, outside our perimeters.

Still on the trade fair side, the Adat is until this evening September 22, present in Paris at Top Resa, international tourism meetings, with Aveyron companies that welcome groups. “We carry the message of good living in Aveyron and the invitation to extend the holidays there”slips Jean-Luc Calmelly.

“We want to move Aveyron and we are succeeding”

Added to this are actions around cycling, soft mobility which contributes to this attractiveness: the Adat will thus be from October 5 to 9 at the Roc d’Azur in Fréjus (MTB) and at the Festibik’Zac in Sébazac on October 8. … The catalog of actions is already loaded until the end of the year and 2023 will start with the same dynamics and new initiatives. “Unquestionably, the Agency is on the move, all the lights are greenpleads Arnaud Viala. The ambitious bet which was that of creating the Adat is accompanied by a synergy with all the actors of the department. We want to get Aveyron moving and we’re succeeding.”.

Doctors, veterinarians… Seduction operations

Attracting the healthcare professionals that Aveyron sorely needs has been at the heart of the Department’s concerns for several years now. With real success at the key: “Today, we have as many doctors who settle as those who stop”, says Jean-Luc Calmelly, president of Adat. These actions bearing fruit, they are extended from general practitioners to all players in the medical and paramedical world and particularly young medical interns invited to carry out their professional internship (and settle in stride) in the department. Thus the Aveyron Adrenaline Weekend which promises them “to live a unique experience in a breathtaking setting”, with outdoor activities in particular. The 6th edition of the WAA took place on September 17 and 18, with 180 participants from around ten faculties of medicine.

Veterinarians are not forgotten, especially since Aveyron has great need of them: a weekend will be devoted to them on October 8 and 9 in Argences-en-Aubrac “to make them discover the benefits of Aveyron in terms of professional, residential and cultural attractiveness”. About thirty students from the National Veterinary School of Toulouse have already registered.
