The curtain is about to go up at the Circus: tomorrow evening at 20.45 appointment with the theatrical show by Giampiero Mancini and his company of actors, “Natura morta in un ditch”, organized and promoted by the company Il Delfino Curi Pescara on the occasion of the international day for the elimination of violence against women, an anniversary established by the United Nations General Assembly on 25 November. For several days now the city theater has been full in every order of seat. Not only all the members of the large Curi family, football players, families, coaches and managers, but also the managers of the city’s high schools, with their students, the of the territory, Pescara Calcio in primis, and the partners of Mondo Curi (such as Fidas). Thus the eight hundred seats in the Circus were volatilized in a few days. Admission to the event will be, as already mentioned in previous press releases, absolutely free and paid for by the Il Delfino Curi Pescara club, which invests in culture, social relations, the training of its members and the city’s sports and school community. This is enough to explain the reason for the motto “Curi Cares”, coined by President Curi, Antonio Martorella, at the beginning of his mandate.

“Considering our commitment to operate not only in the world of sport but also in the city’s civil society – says the vice president, Attorney Claudio Croce, who is also a municipal councilor – after contacting the theater company of the well-known Pescara actor Giampiero Mancini, who is bringing the show dedicated to the theme of femicide, “Natura morta in un ditch” around Italy, we decided to hire the theater company ourselves and to give this evening to our children and their families, but also to the whole world sportsman and youth citizen. The response was exciting, we never thought we’d receive so much support and have so much participation. For this reason, I would like to thank on behalf of the whole company, first of all from the patron Paluzzi, all the realities that have welcomed us in these days and have joined the initiative. The PescarAbruzzo Foundation, in the person of Nicola Mattoscio, Dr. De Feo, the directors and professors of the city’s high schools, Fidas, Pescara Calcio, the other sports clubs, and the local authorities. Finally, I would like to remind you that the Public Prosecutor, Dr. Anna Rita Mantini, will intervene as coordinator of the GAV Antiviolence Group”.

Thus the president Curi Martorella: “With the other partners Stefano Sasso and Alberto Agresta we recognize ourselves in a vision for which we want to be actors in the polis we inhabit. We are for football beyond football. After many social and charitable initiatives, now we want, tomorrow evening, Tuesday 22 November, through the theatre, talk to young people about violence against women. We are certain that whoever attends the show will take a punch in the stomach that will not leave them indifferent and will return home with a renewed taste for the beauty of life. We want to be a bridge between the world of sport and the world of school, which sometimes struggle to communicate, even if in recent years things are much better. One of my teachers, Luciano Russi, engraved my soul with a phrase that has changed lives: sport and culture come together in the same concept since the time of ancient Greece that invented the Olympic Games: sport is culture!”.
