Hartley, raw hearts : three final plots

The first centered around an ongoing story involving Drazic and stolen car parts, the second story saw Tess, Zac, Dennis and Thania having a seance, while the third story was lighthearted and involved Marco and Principal Carson in a bowling game. Hartley, raw hearts: none of the main characters present in the final episode

As Anita and Drazic’s story ended, and other students saw their characters evolve in the latest episode of Hartley, raw hearts, the finale itself played out more like a normal episode than a series (or even season) finale. The main students – Dennis, Zac, Thania, Marco and Tess – were not given a final conclusion and simply continued their stay at Hartley Heights. As the various stories regarding the original cast were all concluded in previous seasons, none of the original characters appeared in the final episode.

Hartley, raw hearts : tragic disappearances over the seasons

While the majority of characters from previous seasons left the show to pursue new horizons after graduating, not all of them had happy endings. At least two characters left Hartley, heartbroken in tragic circumstances. The first of these was Nick Poulos, played by Alex Dimitriades. Nick died of a brain aneurysm after taking part in a boxing match at the end of the first season. The second character to die was Steve Wiley (Corey Page), who died offscreen in the fourth season premiere. Steve died in an accident while taking pictures at the beach. A number of other characters left the show rather abruptly, including Nikki Ruark, who was diagnosed with mental health issues. As for Melanie Black, she left school to go on a trip with her terminally ill boyfriend, and Gemma Whitely, for her part, was expelled in the penultimate episode.
