Medio Etruria station, new bus lines, differentiated and single ticket in museums: interrogations

The first was presented by Michele Menchetti of the 5 Star Movement and concerned the degradation of public housing in the Tortaia district, an issue with respect to which the council replied that Arezzo Casa is planning the renovation in its three-year plan of the works. of 270 terraces and other interventions for the safety of the buildings. Some, however, are currently on standby following the increase in the prices of materials needed for maintenance.

Menchetti also asked why the tourist route of the monumental trees was not completed, still on paper despite the commitments, the municipal administration specified that the project is proceeding with a view to a very complex itinerary, to be completed by next spring, at which will be given adequate promotion.

Another question posed by Valentina Sileno of Scelgo Arezzo concerned the integration desk managed by the Fraternita, until 2025, and whether the Municipality has an office competent for integration policies and how many employees make it up. The office, it was replied, has existed since May 2021, and brings together skills on immigration, integration and equal opportunities with three staff units.

The next question, presented by the group leader Marco Donati, also came from Scelgo Arezzo. It was underlined that the bins where to throw garbage are not always positioned in the best place to allow citizens to comfortably deliver waste.

The abandoned Policiano sports facility was at the center of the question posed by the Democratic Party with the municipal councilors Alessandro Caneschi and Giovannin Donati: tall grass, uprooted benches, compromised bathrooms, stolen electrical systems, lack of fence, therefore indiscriminate entrance in conditions of insecurity and also to reach it the road is damaged. The municipal administration underlined how the problems come from afar, in particular from a 2010 tender which went deserted which led the junta to transform it from a football facility to a multipurpose structure, precisely to expand the field of potential interesting sports clubs. In July 2022, the interest was received from a sports club with which talks are underway for a joint solution governing common maintenance and recovery commitments. The three-year plan of public works finally included the road between the maintenance interventions of 2023.

Also Donati and Caneschi of the Democratic Party asked for clarification and urged interventions on the Marchionna canal, which was half cleaned, despite having been purchased by the Municipality and due to which the basements of the houses are flooded. The intent of the municipal administration is to proceed to an agreement with the reclamation consortium and thus regulate an overall intervention.

Third question by Donati and Caneschi on the skate park: Again on the sports facilities, starting from the case of the Skate park, on which 50,000 euros have been committed, a situation is being created with series A and series B systems. , some with direct financial commitments and others left only to amateur sports associations that can’t make it. The municipal administration has legitimized the 50,000 euro investment for safety reasons and because only the floor is left of the Skate park and therefore it is unusable. It is not a redevelopment but a new construction, a solution that could not be banned without the incentive of a contribution.

The Pd council group expressed its opinion on the Medio Etruria station through the presentation of the group leader Donato Caporali who noted that an axis is emerging between the president of the Umbria region and the center-right mayors of Siena and Valdichiana which tends to favor a solution other than that which it involves the Arezzo area, the only one capable of guaranteeing the iron-iron exchange. The municipal administration’s reply is that there is no point in battling mayors now. The strategy must be: to bring together all the institutional actors, municipalities and regions of Tuscany and Umbria and make them converge on a framework solution: a station in Valdichiana. Subsequently, where it should arise in detail, it will be the numbers relating to the catchment areas and above all the technicians and managers of the railways who, on the basis of this objective data, will be able to become aware of what the location is. No doubt that Manziana will emerge as the best one.

Caporali for the Pd group also presented the question on the revision of the new urban public transport network and underlined how the choices resulted in a hasty solution that led to the abolition of races and stops, in the city and in the hamlets, particularly excluded from this overall revision of the service, due to the disappearance for various schools of the compatibility between bus timetables and the opening and closing times of the complexes. Day by day, the municipal administration replied, criticalities and problems are collected, by mail, by telephone, with all the tools, to reach any necessary answer. The current scheme is the result of many months of joint work between Municipality technicians, Tuscan bus technicians, trade unions and drivers: all together they traveled kilometers and kilometers to understand the appropriate routes for each line. This synergy has produced an important, innovative result compared to the previous system which was obsolete and now thirty years old. The problems, however small, were expected because they accompany every change.

The stretch of SR 71 in Rigutino at the center of the interrogation by Andrea Gallorini del Pd who in the stretch that goes towards the station observes how it is a harbinger of inconvenience to the circulation of cars and pedestrians due to non-compliance by some of the parking prohibitions who insist on you. The solution adopted for the pedestrian path does not improve the situation because it is narrow and does not allow the passage of wheelchairs. The municipal administration guaranteed a quick solution to the already known problem.

Two questions were also received from the majority. The first presented by Roberto Cucciniello of Fratelli d’Italia concerning the possible truthfulness of the news, which appeared on several channels, regarding the city museums: clarifications were requested both on opening hours and on the so-called “ticketing policy”, given that it is The single ticket instrument was also outlined on the horizon.

If for the museum offer made up of sites under direct municipal management, the administration has the ability to maneuver, for that which belongs to the combination of the Ministry of Cultural Heritage / Tuscan Museum Complex the same capacities are instead residual. For the former, the single ticket capable of overcoming the current cost of 5 euros that the visitor must bear for each exhibition is being studied, for state museums, instead, the combined ticket has existed since 2013 even if the medieval museum remains the one even less usable. Arezzo Intour has launched a specific promotional campaign on museums and has moved, since November 2021, in view of a 360-degree agreement with the ministry on the issue in question.

Finally, from Simon Pietro Palazzo di OraGhinelli the last question: clarifications were also requested regarding the door-to-door collection service in some hamlets, especially as regards the production activities that are faced with collection times and capacity of tubs intended for conferment not entirely corresponding to their needs. It was underlined by the municipal administration how the manager, since June, has activated various inspections on extra-residential activities to understand the needs of the individual users in view of a punctual service, modulated on the needs of each company.
