On the day of Saturday 24 September the Ethnographic Historical Museum of Lower Valsesia with the “La Nosta Gent Onlus” Foundation will present the conclusion of the project “The Past in the Future”Through a day to discover the news in terms of multimedia, teaching and the web.
The morning will be dedicated to school principals and teacherswith the meeting scheduled for 9.30 and the start of activities at 10.00.
Participants will be able to immerse themselves in the new multimedia offer conceived with the aim of encouraging new forms of communication within the museum that increasingly involve the new generations. This initiative aims to let the visitor explore the cultural offer through video stations, with actors who animate the rooms and give voice to the collections, environments and history that the museum wants to tell.
The conclusion of the morning is scheduled for 12.00.
The afternoon is open to all and, starting from 3.00 pm, the new multimedia activities will be presented with a visit to the installations. Through increasingly captivating graphics and languages, multimedia also guides the choices of the didactic offer.
For 12 years now, the Museum has prepared an offer for school groups which has always been renewed from year to year. This is now joined by the Dida_ON project which allows schools, even at a distance, to enjoy quality activities and experiences, which can be integrated or alternatives to face-to-face activities.
Starting from 4.00 pm children can have fun in numerous games and at 5.00 pm you can enjoy a snack.
In addition, a new website was created to ensure ever closer and more effective communication with visitors and to broaden the public. Together, the Museum has adopted a new integrated communication with a modern graphics, more cheerful and captivating.
The site is the starting point, together with the new logo, of a renewed aesthetic and communicative approach to 360 degrees.
For the realization of these activities the collaboration of the association was used: -Pindarica, a Turin collective of theater professionals, multimedia languages, digital innovation, education and training, as well as the creativity of Venti Dita, a graphic design, identity design and illustration studio.
All these innovations are actions of the “The Past in the Future” project, created by the “La Nosta Gent Onlus” Foundation in collaboration with the Historical Ethnographic Museum and the support of the Municipality of Romagnano Sesia, the contribution of the Ministry of Labor and Social Policies in collaboration with the Piedmont Region.
As part of the same, during the past school year the “Scuola in Erba” project was carried out, which involved 24 classes and more than 400 pupils from the “Curioni” Comprehensive Institute, the Sacred Heart, the Agricultural Technical Institute. and the Liceo Artistico: a transversal path that combined the work of children aged 6 to 18 years. Research work has been carried out on aromatic and medicinal herbs, both from a graphic and creative point of view, and from a scientific and linguistic point of view, combined with more manipulative activities, which have been the subject of an exhibition and a day of presentation entirely dedicated to schools.
Together, the Museum and the Foundation are increasingly attentive to the needs of schools and their users carrying on that collaboration and those activities that in these years of teaching have had an excellent response.
