The Caminos de la Ruralidad program advances in the departments of San Justo and Vera

Within the framework of the Paths of Rurality Program, the Ministry of Production, Science and Technology inaugurated this Wednesday two new rural traces in the towns of Calchaquí -Vera department- and San Justo. In addition, it signed an agreement for the improvement of a new layout in Videla, San Justo department. This provincial tool is promoted jointly with the Provincial Directorate of Roads.

On the occasion, Minister Daniel Costamagna expressed: “Beyond the opportunities that exist in the large centers where we have gas, electricity and connectivity, we highly value what is done from our northern center, because here is the challenge of roads , of drinking water, the challenge of connectivity, of public works. And from here to the end of the year we have the inauguration and bidding of many works in the area, linked to the two premises that we have, which are education and production”.

Then, Costamagna stressed that the works inaugurated “are fundamental, since they imply the creation of employment, the incorporation of young people and the generation of roots, because it is important that people live and be educated with the same possibilities. These works are articulated with everything that is done in the field of education, such as the rural educational ticket”.

For his part, the general administrator of the Provincial Road Administration, Oscar Ceschi, congratulated the local consortiums for the work carried out through the financing of the program and specified numbers: “We started Caminos de la Ruralidad with 10 million pesos, then 100 million more were added; then another 1,000 million and this year the governor assigned us 2,000 million more, which we have executed in full”.

And he detailed: “We already have 86 agreements signed in the Province, with a total of more than 830 kilometers of road, with 83 schools that have come out of isolation, and more than 1,500 producers. Through the approval of the bill, which has already been approved by the Chamber of Senators, we will have 1.4 of the provincial budget, which translates into 5.7 billion pesos for roads next year”.

“This program exists due to a political decision by Governor Omar Perotti. We are committed to supporting production, which is where the resources are generated, and going hand in hand with the producers, accompanying them with works, because we trust that this is the way to go”, concluded Ceschi.

For his part, Undersecretary of Rural Infrastructure of the productive portfolio, Matías Giorgetti, indicated: “This is a public policy of our Governor Omar Perotti, implemented by Minister Daniel Costamagna and General Manager Oscar Ceschi. In the case of the road in Calchaquí, it is the first one that we carry out in the Vera department, for this reason we hope that it will be replicated in the department and that organizational processes will be generated between the local administrations, the province and the producers”.

In that town, a 7,530-meter work was inaugurated, whose investment included funds for an amount greater than 26,835,000 pesos. The new layout favors the Rural Education Center CER No. 568 Republic of Peru, with eight students and four workers between teaching and non-teaching staff. On the other hand, it benefits five cattle producers, four cotton and sunflower farmers, a dairy producer, three beekeepers and a pig producer.

During the opening ceremony, its mayor, Rubén Cuello, said: “It is a very special day for us, it implies reaching the end of the improvement works on rural roads, which Governor Omar Perotti established as a strategic plan at the time. When this trace was discussed in October last year, it seemed that it was going to be achieved soon and it was.

For her part, the director of CER No. 568, Mónica Graciela Toschi, expressed that “in rural areas it is difficult, especially on impassable days, to get to school, and this access allows our children to have continuous regularity in As for assists.”

Finally, the departmental senator, Osvaldo Sosa, indicated: “Governor Omar Perotti’s gaze towards the north of Santa Fe is not only a story but can be seen in the execution of the works. This road was a necessity for each child to get to school and for each producer to get their production out”.

Also present at the inauguration were the councillor, Martín Perelló; the Communal President of La Criolla, Jorge Fraix; the president of the Rural Society, Enzo Dotti; the president of the local SAMCO; and agricultural producers in the area.

Trace San Justo

In the case of San Justo, more than 72 million pesos will be allocated to carry out a layout that will cover a section of 23,183 meters, and that includes School No. 6185 República Argentina, with 17 students and three teachers. In addition, 12 livestock producers, 45 farmers who produce more than 26,900 tons of sunflower, corn, soybeans, sorghum and wheat. Also to a pig producer and six beekeepers.

First of all, the director of the educational establishment, Ana Maria Zeballos, thanked the management and expressed that “today is a very important day for our institution. We are proud to inaugurate this gravel road, since our students mostly come from the countryside. The children of our school have been taken into account.”

Likewise, at the opening ceremony, the Undersecretary of Integration and Social Inclusion of the Ministry of Social Development, Santiago Felipoff, stated: “Today we inaugurate a historical work with a significant investment, on the day of the rural teacher. When the negotiations are done, things happen, and here there is a very strong decision of the Governor so that the development reaches all the actors. In addition, the definition of the traces involves many actors, which allows our economic matrix to take scale”.

In his turn, the provincial director of Food Services and School Cooperation of the Ministry of Education, Mario Rolón, indicated: “Our joy is immense, since the roads guarantee that boys and girls can go to school. The teachers told me that this year there was an increase in enrollment and it will surely increase more with the improved roads.”

Finally, the president of the Association of Rural Property Owners, San Justo District, Víctor Hugo Pedrazzoli, indicated that “many institutions were called to carry out this project that became a reality, we appreciate the work embodied in the roads.”

The secretary of Territorial Development and Roots, Fabricio Medina, participated in both opportunities. The event in San Justo was also attended by the president of the local Rural Society, Mariano Zuqueli, the president of the Federal Agricultural and Livestock Cooperative, Victor Hugo Mazzaro, and rural producers and members of the Neighborhood Road Maintenance Commission.

Convention in Videla

Lastly, an agreement was signed in the town of Videla, department of San Justo, that provides for the improvement of 7,306 meters of rural roads through an investment of more than 34 million pesos. The work will directly benefit eight farmers, beekeepers, two livestock producers and a dairy. In addition, the section includes CER No. 588.

The community president, María Eva González, was very grateful and expressed that “for us this is exceptional, something very longed for, with the need in the rural setting to get the production out, and without improved roads it was impossible, so now these solutions are arriving thanks to the fact that promises are kept in this administration. Many school trajectories in rural areas were lost”.
