“One of the most effective ways to get out of poverty is education and we, from the Government, are interested in their children having a quality education,” said today the Minister of Development and Social Inclusion, Dina Boluarte, in a meeting with citizens of the San Martin region.
Therefore, in the Ministry of Development and Social Inclusion (Midis) we strive to empower early childhood, to have healthy girls and boys who can study, develop and, when they finish school, aspire to higher education, either at an institute or university, the minister added.
Boluarte inaugurated the vocational guidance fair “Together, bringing more opportunities” in Tarapoto, aimed at fourth and fifth year high school students who use the Juntos program, in order to motivate them to enroll in higher university or technical education to improve their quality of life.

In this activity, the minister maintained that, sometimes, students do not have all the information available on educational services and even do not know about the scholarships granted by the State.
In the company of the executive director of Together, Jessica Niño de Guzmán, the minister toured the modules of the different universities and institutes that gathered at the Tarapoto sports center to offer educational information to the hundreds of attending schoolchildren.
The vocational fair took place in the framework of the 17th anniversary of Together. To date, this social program has 34,142 affiliated households in ten provinces of San Martín, such as Moyobamba, San Martín, Lamas, El Dorado, Rioja, Bellavista, Mariscal Cáceres, Picota, Huallaga and Tocache.

In the district of Lamas, Minister Boluarte supervised the ‘Ancohallo’ Children’s Comprehensive Care Center, where the day care service of the Cuna Más program is provided for the benefit of 44 girls and boys from that locality.
