The Jesús María Dressage and Folklore Festival, in its 57th edition, is on track to set a new public record compared to the last editions. In the first three nights, more than 45,000 visitors were exceeded and it is estimated that this figure will be exceeded for the last three days.
The Festival takes place until Monday, January 16 at the José Hernández de Córdoba Amphitheater and the dressage venue, with artists of the stature of Soledad, Los Tekis, Los Nocheros, Nahuel Pennisi and Los Carabajal, among others.
In this framework, Chivilcoy was represented by the “El Fogón” Traditionalist Center, in the figure of Fausto Casullo, the nine-year-old tropillerito who was invited to participate in the great national festival after being discovered by its organizers in a provincial contest. “It’s a dream come true,” said Dolores, her mother, to LA RAZÓN, “she really deserves recognition for her effort, passion, and dedication.”
“We arrived at Jesús Maria on Monday, on Tuesday they went to a practice to see how they were going to be distributed and under what guidelines and then, on Wednesday, the confinement of the shorties was carried out, in the competition in which all the herds are mixed and the one who manages to gather his in less time is the winner, in this sense, Fausto was second and we are happy, a great pride”.
Thanks
Dolores highlights the great accompaniment that the family received to be able to arrive at Jesús María with the animals and carry out the competition, “I want to thank everyone who accompanied us, many friends who traveled with us, people who were there from the very beginning, willing to contribute a grain of sand, to the whole family, because all this has a very important behind the scenes, they were busy days of comings and goings. I have no words of gratitude for everyone who helped us, him being aware of the care of the shorties, the entire competition circuit ”.
Pride for the family and for Chivilcoy
“I am very excited because it is a dream come true for him, he was very excited and yesterday when he finished, he went out to take the shorties and when he came back he told me, “mom, when I came out of the tunnel I could not believe it”, for me personally That my beloved Traditionalist Center “El Fogón” was named, because he came on behalf of the institution, was also very emotional, that Chivilcoy was named, it was an unforgettable night.”
“Like any mother, what moves me the most is his happiness, and seeing the passion with which he does everything, he is happy and he deserves the recognition, because he really puts a lot of effort into what he does,” he closed.
In May, we chatted with Fausto and his mother, at which time they told us about their daily day, “he gets his pony ready, in that daily contact, with the responsibility and passion of caring for his herd, dreaming big and predicting the day of be an older trooper like his dad. From a very young age, almost since he was born, he has been passionate about horses, ”Dolores shared.
“When I come back from school, I take them to drink water, I brush them,” said Fausto, about the obligatory ritual when leaving classes at Elementary School No. 7, where he is a student.
