What will the school of the future look like? It is not possible to make entirely accurate predictions. What can be done is certainly to trace, in the present, a road, a path to create strong foundations on which to start according to certain criteria: innovation, sustainability and regeneration of spaces and teaching. ENROLL YOUR SCHOOL IN THE COURSE
The National Recovery and Resilience Plan identifies education and research as the fourth of the six missions. Almost 31 billion have been allocated to renew the world of training and education, of which 19.44. L’investment 3.2, called “School 4.0 – innovative schools, new classrooms and laboratories”, has the goal of regenerate the school starting from the learning spaces.
The project is being pursued, writes the PNRRWith the’acceleration of the digital transition of the school system Italian through four initiatives:
- Transformation of approximately 100,000 traditional classrooms into connected learning environments (with funding for all over 8,000 Italian schools for a total of 1,296 million euros);
- Creation of laboratories for digital professions in the second cycle (with funding for all upper secondary schools for a total of 424 million euros);
- Digitization of school administrations;
- Internal wiring of approximately 40,000 school buildings and related equipment;
As can be seen, this is a truly very significant investment which, added to other conspicuous ones PNRR and PON funding which in recent months have been assigned to many scholastic institutions, must be managed with great care and an innovative planning which has as its objective the transformation and regeneration of each individual school community.
Actions related to PNRR School 4.0 in fact, they constitute an opportunity for the entire school community to rethink itself as an ecosystem capable of renewing its teaching approach and its curricular and extra-curricular organization until it becomes a innovative community of practicea social intellectual capable of animating the local educational community.
The digital, which constitutes the heart of the PNRR School 4.0 investmentthus becomes a starting point for radically renewing didactic approaches, organizational processes, evaluation paths, ways of interacting with the territory.
It is a process that must involve the entire school community: managers, staff, digital animators, digital teams, teachers, dsga, administrative and technical staff, students, families, local authorities and cultural and third sector associations.
For example, first and second cycle schools are called upon to plan and implement physical and digital learning environments (on-life), characterized by innovation of spaces, furnishings and equipment but also and above all by a core of innovative pedagogies for their most effective use. The physical and virtual transformation of Next Generation Classrooms that is, it must be accompanied by a change in learning and teaching methodologies and techniques which necessarily require training, experimentation and validation.
This is a unique opportunity for really renew the Italian schools aligning them both with the various frameworks developed by the European Union in the digital area (including the various DigComps: edu, org, 2.2.) and with the indications deriving from the recent Transforming Education Summit of the UN (September 2022). A process that requires certain and interdisciplinary planning and management skills.
To support managers, teachers, administrative and technical staff in the complex process of regeneration of schools 4.0 The Technique of the Schooltogether with the Multidisciplinary Staff of Helmet Learning Centerhas developed a training and accompaniment path.
