Legambiente Valle Caudina and CSV Irpinia Sannio ETS plant trees in schools

The initiative scheduled for Friday and Saturday is organized in collaboration with the Municipalities of Airola and Bucciano and the “Padre Pio” and “De Sanctis” institutes. Trees are our greatest friends in the fight against the climate crisis. They absorb CO2, produce oxygen and are essential for life on the planet. For this reason, on the occasion of the Tree Festival promoted nationally by Legambiente, fruit trees will be planted in two schools in Valle Caudina on Friday and Saturday.
The initiative is promoted by Legambiente Valle Caudina in collaboration with the CSV Irpinia Sannio Ets and sees the partnership and patronage of schools and municipal administrations.

Statements
Armando Ciardiello, president of Legambiente Valle Caudina. «Friday in Airola and Saturday in Bucciano we will return to celebrate the Tree Festival by planting new ones inside the schools. It is an initiative that Legambiente has been carrying out for years and which this year will see us plant trees, including native and ancient fruit trees such as pomegranate, Augustan plum, quince and annurca apples and limoncelle, sour cherries, apricots , pears and strawberry trees. Another novelty this year is the support of CSV Irpinia Sannio Ets for a collaboration that we hope will go on for a long time. I also have the duty to thank the head teachers of the schools of Airola and Bucciano and the two municipal administrations».

Raffaele Amore, president of CSV Irpinia Sannio Ets. «The two events in Airola and Bucciano as well as the initiatives that saw our Service Center for Volunteering busy last weekend in Sant’Angelo dei Lombardi and again next Sunday in Montesarchio are in line with what is the planning of our activity always attentive to the principles of environmental sustainability and the circular economy. Precisely on the occasion of these appointments we launched a call for tenders as part of our project Il Mantello Condiviso, which is entitled “Nobody is too small to make a difference”, and with which by bringing together School and Volunteering we wanted to talk to young people about the environment to build together a more eco-friendly, accessible and green future. With Legambiente, the schools and the municipal bodies, we are thus continuing a path that has seen us engaged for years in the construction of territorial networks”.
