Broadcast between 1989 and 1993, the American sitcom saved by the bell follows the daily life of a group of six inseparable friends met on the benches of high school in Bayside, California. Throughout the four seasons, the viewer follows their zany adventures of Zack, Slater, Screech, Lisa, Kelly and Jessie, which often end in the principal’s office. In 2020, a remake of the series is broadcast on the Peacock streaming platform, with most of the main actors reprising their roles, with the exception of Dustin Diamond, who died in 2021, and Dennis Haskins. Two spin-offs for saved by the bell

A first spin-off was born in the fall of 1993, entitled Saved by the Bell: The High School Years, where the viewer picks up the course of history, right after graduation. Unfortunately, the series was aborted after only a year due to too low audiences. Nevertheless, it allows fans of the series to witness the return of the mythical couple, formed by the most beautiful high school cheerleader, Kelly (Tiffani Thiessen), and Zack (Mark-Paul Gosselaar). The series also ends with their decision to get married in … Las Vegas! In 1993, too, a second spin-off was released: Saved by the Bell: The New Class, which will have lasted seven seasons. We find some of the members of the original series in the high school of Bayside – in particular the bodybuilder Slater (Mario Lopez), turned gym teacher – confronting the new students of Bayside.

But the franchise saved by the bell had not yet said his last word. There will also be two films: first in 1992, with Saved by the Bell: The Hawaiian Adventure, by Don Barnhart. The entire original cast then flies to Hawaii to visit Kelly’s grandfather, Harry. There, they discover that a greedy property developer is trying to buy out Harry’s resort, and the whole gang works together to save the resort. Two years later, in 1994, finally arrives what could be considered the series finalewith a second feature called Saved by the Bell: Wedding in Las Vegas. Kelly and Zack leave with their group of friends to get married in the city of sin, to the chagrin of their respective parents. Way very bad trip, the band goes through a number of galleys before arriving at their destination, going so far as to compromise the ceremony. But everything works out: the two lovebirds say yes, under the knowing eyes of their friends and family.
