Southern and Calabrian artists at the “Milan Music Week”, interview with Verdiana

COSENZA – Two production companies from Cosenza are organizing a talk on how artists from southern Italy interface with Milan, today the capital of Italian music. These are two very active realities in the music scene of Southern Italy and Cosenza who have decided to promote an event to be presented at Milan Music Week 2022. They are Tape Lab and Cluster Academy, in collaboration with Emanuel Reda, manager and promoter.

These realities flank the artists of Southern Italy for many years making the journey with them in the Italian music scene and they know well the difficulties that artists are faced with when the music scene is geolocated far from home. Many sacrifices and many difficultieseven if in all these artists from the South there is a desire to never give up and the big one determination.

Hence the idea of organize as part of the Milan Music Week a event open to all artists and musical vehicles not resident in Milan to provide concrete strategies and solutions to reduce this geographical distance.

The EST – Enosteria Sociale con Terrazza will be the scene of the talk del 24 November at 10.30pmguests of the event will be the Artists of Southern Italy already known in the record scene such as: Verdiana (Le Deva), Eda Marì, Naip, Peppe Voltarelli, Giacomo EVA, Pierdavide Carone, Vergo, Merlot

Workers of the musical vehicle such as Giuseppe Scuotri, journalist for Il Mattino and Christian Cambareri founder of Orangle Records will also intervene. Moderator of the event will be Sofia Fabbri for Cromosomi. There will also be the exhibition of some emerging talents from Southern Italy, accompanied by a Live After Party always inside the enosteria which offers a busy calendar of cultural events.

In its first 7 months of life it hosted over 40 concerts and 50 book presentations and debates, with constantly updated innovative formats, such as Open Stage and Amiga. Sponsors of the event will be Mi’ndujo, Blue Note Store and Auto Tu, as partners will be present Radioactive RLB.

Milano Music Week was born in 2017 from the will of the Municipality of Milan, Assomusica, FIMI, Nuovo Imaie and SIAE to dedicate an entire week to music and its market, in a city that has always thrived on concerts and musical events. For 7 days a year Milan turns into a big stage which welcomes hundreds of artists and artists, more than 100 content partners, who will propose over 160 events located in about 65 locations that open their doors to citizens and professionals by offering activities of all kinds: from concerts to workshops, passing through presentations of records and books, films, artist talks, DJ sets and so much more. Milano Music Week is a popular project that is aimed not only at music fans and enthusiasts, but also at industry professionals and those who aspire to become insiders, who can make contacts, learn and keep up to date during that week.
