Friday 11 November at 21.00 on stage “One hundred years of Pasolini”, a journey into the biography and works of Pier Paolo Pasolini, production The beautiful flags, dramaturgical elaboration and interpretation Elena Bucci and original live accordion music by Simone Zanchini.
Pier Paolo Pasolini he gave us precious pages of poetry, literature, theater, images of films that remain in our memory. She also left us all the questions of him, passionate, vibrant, true, profound and the invitation to never adapt to conformity, prejudice, fear patterns. He is a master of doubt, which is very necessary, especially in a time when many think they possess the truth, often humiliating and violating the freedom of thought and life of others. To rediscover all this and who knows what else, we set off on this musical journey into the works and life of Pier Paolo Pasolini, also through the eyes of those who knew and loved him.
You never stop knowing Pier Paolo Pasolini. At each rereading, at each listening and viewing nuances emerge that appear newas happens when you reread great books, when you listen to great music. At the 100th anniversary of its appearance in the world, once again proves to be a master of rigor and freedom. He rigorously grasps, studies, probes, knows, deepens, questions, researches within history, in the geographies of the countryside and in the city, within people, mastering the codes of the disciplines that intrigue him and that he wants to practice. With extreme freedom he mixes the arts, high and low, “flesh and sky”. His impetuous talent ranges from cinema to theater, from poetry to prose, from essays to articles, even through interviews and letters. He rides reason and sentiment, intellectual honesty and courageous gamble and opens his gaze to the past and present to such an extent as to trigger prophetic visions that are now reality. He applies the same rigor and the same freedom to music, which he loves: he writes lyrics for songs, devours and studies classical music, researches around popular music, pours this vast and multifaceted wealth into cinema, theater, breaking down fences and stereotypes. , often scandalizing a cultured audience, but stiffened by habits and prejudices. It would like to be everything.
In the show he is imagined through the words of his friend Laura Bettiin a Circeo villa overlooking the sea while listening to the beloved Mozart and Bach mixing it with the “buzz of his brisk and serene industriousness: a racing Olivetti with Ferrari bodywork to keep up with the rhythm of the thousand ideas that run down the woods in streams, to the ravines, or in front of a clear sea … “
On stage Elena Bucci And Simone Zanchini intertwine voice, song and lyrics to a multiform and changing music that knows how to combine past and present, comedy and tragedy, cultured and popular music, evoking an extraordinary season of Italian culture and art. Everything is in honor of Pier Paolo Pasolinia poet of great wisdom and childish amazement, always a boy, always rebellious, always here.
