What to do in Nantes this opening weekend of the Voyage à Nantes (July 1

Leisure – Games of Brittany – Nantes

During ten days of popular celebration in the city center of Nantes (from July 1 to 10, 2022), more than 100,000 people are expected for this first edition. Under the sign of audacity and good humor, the sports competitions will be associated with cultural events (concerts, fest-noz at the castle, conferences, etc.). Which of the five Breton departments will win the most trophies? To find out, Brittany has an appointment in Nantes in July 2022! Atypical, quirky and free, this new festival aims to become each year the great popular meeting place for friends of Brittany. The Cours Saint-André, the square of the maquis de Saffré and the castle of the Dukes of Brittany, places of excitement for the event, will host sports competitions, initiations, demonstrations, musical entertainment and other festivities for ten days. The Organizing Committee of the Brittany Games has won its first challenge by (re)unifying forces: the event is supported by the City of Nantes, the Brittany region and the five departments of historic Brittany. For our association, uniting these seven communities is a source of great pride! The selections have already started in ten towns in Brittany, from Carhaix to Rezé. The winners of the straw bale throwing, axle lifting, tug of war, Breton balls or puck on board tournaments will be invited to take part in the finals, in Nantes.
