The tables with the new salary amounts for teachers and ATA staff, and therefore the relative increases, are contained in the hypothesis of renewal of the school contract published on the Aran website with the definitive signature last Friday 11 November.

There is talk of hypotheses because the complete renewal of the school contract will presumably take place a Januaryafter the entry into force of the 2023 Budget law, with the definition of the regulatory part.

As Aran communicates on the sidelines of the final signing of the school collective agreement, the salary increases concern 1,232,248 employees, of which:

  • 1,154,993 belonging to the school and Afam sectors (including 850,000 teachers);
  • 77,255 belonging to the university sectors (with the exclusion of teachers) and research institutions.

We always read on the Aran website:

“In the hypothesis of an agreement, an increase in the salary scale for all employees in the sector is envisaged, as well as an increase in fixed and recurring indemnities. The average gross monthly increase for 13 months for the entire sector it is equal to 98 euros. As regards the teaching staff, the gross average increases amount to 101 euros per month, equal to a percentage increase of more than 4.2%. The Contract will allow for the payment of arrears for an average of 2,362.49 euros for all school staff (for teachers the amount is 2,450 euros on average).”

Renewal of the school contract: increases already in December

As Aran also points out, the first salary increases with the renewal of the school contract for ATA teachers and staff, as well as for university staff, will already take place December 2022. In fact, we read in Aran’s press release:

“The arrears and benefits will be disbursed by the end of the year, as per the government’s commitment. The negotiation will continue with regard to the legal treatment and the other aspects of the economic treatment.”

With regard specifically to arrears, as recalled by Flc Cgil, for the period from January 2019 to December 2022 “the arrears relating to salary increases and Rpd/Cia/Ind will be paid. management accrued in the reference period.”

The arrears will also arrive in December 2022 and NoiPa will automatically recognize them in the payroll of all school workers tenured and precarious in service during the period considered.

The following must also be subtracted from the gross amount of teachers’ salary arrears, and not only that, with the renewal of the school contract:

  • welfare and social security withholdings;
  • Irpef withholdings that vary according to income.
