While it will undergo changes in its casting and its filming will be launched in a few days, the school series of France 2 will take on a new face this season, that of Julie De Bona.
Adapted from Quebec fiction 30 lives, The school of life, broadcast in the spring of 2021, told the daily life of Vincent Picard (Guillaume Labbé), a History-Geo teacher in a high school in a large city who, while going through a terrible tragedy on the staff, was doing his best to pursue his profession as a teacher without fail and not to sink. His priority remains his students.
Season 2, confirmed more than a year ago by France 2, will finally begin filming this Tuesday August 16 in the Paris region. In this new season the high school (Arago high school) will be the same, but not the main teacher. Normal, since in the original Quebec series each season focused on a different teacher.
Julie De Bona, new heroine of the series
So it’s Julie De Bona (Plan B) who will take the place of Guillaume Labbé. She will play Alexandra Delage, the new head teacher.
In The school of life, Her character, Alexandra Delage, is a 34-year-old woman who alternates between her French class and managing the high school theater workshop. Julie de Bona will play a woman full of empathy who will push children to feel good about themselves while supporting them in their school learning. Throughout this season, the teacher will have to solve the various problems of high school students and especially those of a first class.
Things will get more complicated for the young woman when she finds herself forced to manage a personal problem that could jeopardize her career and her family plans. For the first time in her life, the one who dedicates her life to helping others will also have to accept being helped.
Julie De Bona continues to chain projects since she is also expected in the series The Fighters and The house opposite as well as in the credits of the TV movie M6 dragon boat.
Although Guillaume Labbé does not return to his role as Vincent Picard, the majority of the teaching staff from the first season will be present for this second. We will thus find Florence Pernel (Carole Mine), Bruno Sanches (Léo Costa), Mélanie Page (Sandrine Joubert), Nicolas Briançon (Xavier Burgin), Cédric Revollon (M. Chagne), Yannig Samot (Patrick Bouvier), Cécile Rebboah (Aline Fourge), Léa Millet (Ms. Jimenez), and Nader Boussandel (Rayan Yadir).
On the student side, a new group of teenagers will be staged by actors Iliana Belkhadra (Ambre Savin), Nolan Masraf (Naïm), Sarah Pachoud (Ludivine Garibaldi), Rita Benmannana (Maelys), Marine Marcais -Boyer (Margaux), and Elliot Daurat (Adam).
The filming of this second season will continue until November 4, for a scheduled broadcast in 2023 on France 2. The series will include 6 new episodes. While waiting for season 2, find the trailer for season 1 below:
